How to do different cross stitches

Cross Stitch Stitch from left to right, then cross back
Fractional stitches
Your chart will show you which corner the fractional stitch occupies
¼ cross stitch
¾ cross stitch – this will look the same as the ¼ stitch on the chart but you may need to make it a ¾ stitch for a stronger colour or outline
2 symbols – when two different symbols share a square, work a fractional stitch in each colour. Make ¾ stitch in the main colour and a ¼ stitch in the background colour
Back to back. This will look the same on the chart as 2 symbols but you make like to make a stronger outline. Ensure the two half stitches lie neatly together.
